Welcome back to our little corner of the internet, where we’ll be looking at the 5 best AI tools that you can start using today (they’re all free) to help upgrade your workflow and productivity! Let’s get started!

#1: Tome AI

You’ve probably heard of Tome in an ad or discussion online. It’s actually a pretty useful tool that you can use for creating presentations — and fast! It’s got a basic user interface where you can choose a template and give the AI a brief description of what you want the presentation to be about, as well as how long it should be as well. After the generation of the presentation, you can have full control over how it looks and add extra text, images, links and more.

I find this app useful because it means I can create presentations to explain new things to myself, my friends and my family without knowing a lot beforehand and wasting a lot of time on the design.

#2: ChatGPT

There’s a high chance you’ve heard of ChatGPT before, as it has currently taken the internet by storm! It’s important to be responsible when using ChatGPT, but if you use it correctly then you can learn a lot from it.

For example, if you’re unsure about a topic like Quantum Computing, you can ask the generative AI to explain it in 2 paragraphs or less. Or if you’re learning a new alphabet (for example) you could ask it to create a song or rhyme that could help you memorise the letters of the alphabet. It also gives more accurate translations than Google Translate and it can explain how it was translated instead of just giving you the translation.

You can ask ChatGPT to explain anything!

#3: Notion AI

After playing around with this one myself, I realise why so many people find it useful. Its simple and versatile interface gets you writing notes in no time, and with Notion as the only tab open on my Mac, I couldn't help but find myself being extremely productive!

I can see myself using this in the long run, and I would definitely recommend it to readers of this post. On Notion, you can create to-do lists, start a journal, keep a to-be-read list, create a team-space and more!

#4: Synthesia

With Synthesia, you can easily create videos from text. You could use this as a marketing tool (so you wouldn’t need to hire actors or get an expensive camera). You get full power over the aesthetics of the video and get to create your own AI generated avatars for the videos. You can also choose the style of speaking, diction, gestures and more. I think the technology going behind this is absolutely fascinating!

However, it’s important to note that it’s only available for free as a demo, and it’s paid after the demo.

#5: Gizmo/Save All AI

Note after publishing of this post: They rebranded to Gizmo AI on the 2nd of August (soon after I published this) — I am not 100% aware of which features have been removed or added, but still feel free to check Gizmo out!

This one is extremely underrated! During exams, Save All is extremely useful as it allows co-operative learning and implements scientifically proven methods into your learning, without you having to give it a second thought. I’ve been using Save All for a while now and I love it!

How it works is: you start a new “deck of study cards” and start adding small statements to each card. It’s really easy, and then when you go ahead and click “Quiz” an AI will generate questions for you based on your cards. It uses the Spaced Repetition technique and lets you know for how long you’ll remember things. You even have lives (so get one wrong and lose a life!) and you can share and compete with friends and followers. This is definitely one I have a lot to say about and 100% recommend to students.

This blog post wasn’t sponsored by any of the creators of these tools, it’s just my personal opinion on AI tools which could potentially double your productivity. If you liked this one, give it a clap and a comment, and be sure to follow me for more captivating tech and AI stories!

Hope this was helpful! See you in the next one!
